Beach day

The Blantons at the beach.

Brosnan hung out in the chair that Gummaw Sitty got for him! Teething is such a painful endeavor that AMAZINGLY the pacifier stayed in his mouth all day and didn't end up in the sand!


We are not quite sure what to think of the waves yet. They are a little scary. Brosnan ends up standing like a stork with one foot up in the air to keep the sand from covering his toes!


Both boys ended up taking naps. Who needs white noise when the waves are that close!


They boys hung out in their diapers. Mac was at the Riverside Arts Market today with his Grandmother. We look forward to going to the beach with him sometime soon!

6 months!

Brosnan got some new toys this week. This one lets him stand up and walk around.

He got an inflatable pool for the back yard. Does he take after his Aunt Amanda in the water or what!
He took his first big boy bath in the garden tub! On his six month birthday we got a picture of him with the measuring toy. He was much longer than the toy! We can't wait to go back to the doctor and see how big he is!
After a long day of playing, both Blanton boys slept soundly!
Most importantly, Brosnan got his first TWO teeth this week. Front and bottom!

We went to the pool this morning with our new float. We swam until our feet turned into prunes. Brosnan is not afraid to put his face in the water, he likes to drink it! We spent the rest of the time there with our mouths above the water! Big boy cup!
Remember how Brosnan likes to feed himself?
Hooray! So that is how he got sweet potatoes in his hair!

Some little things...

I love when Brosnan reaches out to touch your face and looks you in the eyes. Its so personal. Its like hes saying, "I know you are my Mommy"! Look - I am growing hair back! Just try using a macro lens with a baby that won't stay still! Sorry this is so washed out, but I had to use the flash!
I still like holding my toes!

Brosnan has really been practing his sounds!

The weekend...

Yesterday Brosnan and Dad had a play day while mom worked and made beads. We are starting to appreciate Thomas the Train. Especially the cars that make noise!

Brosnan loves to suck on watermelon, but he chunks off pieces and that makes Mom a bit nervous. He usually just gums them for a few minutes then spits them out, but I am a bit worried what would happen if it slipped down his throat. I know...what a worry wort! My cousin Tracy sent this to us when Brosnan was born and I didn't appreciate it until now. It's perfect! I put a piece of watermelon in it and he can gum it all he wants. I recommend using it on bath day though :)

Now that I have discovered my toes, this is my favorite way to sit! Don't you wish you were this flexible?

Lunch time!

Lately Brosnan likes to feed himself solids. As a matter of fact, if you don't let him participate he gets grumpy! Check him out!

In addition to feeding himself solids,Brosnan drank juice from a sippy cup for the first time today!
