Our White Christmas....

The Blanton's headed to Lansing Michigan for a white Christmas this year! Kim worked a deal with mother nature to have snow for a few days while we were there and for it to warm up before we had to fly back so we could travel safely. Thanks Kim!
Brosnan's first experience in the snow consisted of about 5 steps and then a face plant! Its hard to walk in all those clothes!

It didn't take long before we got our 'snow legs' and were sledding and throwing snowballs!

After Ralphie realized how much of Brosnan's food ended up on the ground, the two of them became best of friends!
And as a thank you for his clean-up efforts, we got him some new antlers!

Gummaw Sitty got some antlers and a Rudolph nose!

All Brosnan really wanted for Christmas was to NOT sit on Santa's lap!
Christmas was so much fun! We spent the entire day opening gifts by the fire!
Rob and Chris got marshmallow guns from Santa! Since the marshmallow's should be slightly stale to launch, they do not recommend aiming at each others mouths (see below).
the target:
Brosnan got his first football from Uncle Rob. He LOVED it!
We got to see the deer on a daily basis! What a fun Christmas treat! Do you think we could get them to wear the antlers next year?
And it wouldn't be a Lane get-together if the boys weren't trying to fix a computer!

More Brosnan's Birthday Party!

Thank you Cheryl! Your pictures are awesome! The only guest that avoided getting her picture taken was Mya. After the papparzi follow her around the zoo for her birthday last month, she must have wanted some privacy!

Brosnan just said Duck. Actually he said Duh about 20 times before we realized what he was saying. I wonder what else he has been trying to tell us?

Brosnan's birthday...

Brosnan's first birthday party was yesterday and 12 of his friends came over to help us celebrate! Brosnan was a great host! Everyone has a wonderful time and amazingly there was only one instance of tears and it only lasted 5 seconds! Although I have a few pictures, Cheryl stepped up as our photographer! I will upload some other pictures when they are available!

Louigi Montolio created a cake masterpiece for Brosnan!

Not only did it look good - but it tasted good too!
The ball pit was a huge hit! All the kids took turns playing!
For those of you shopping for Christmas presents, it was noted by multiple parents, that the two most popular toys (this does not include toys received today) were the Melissa and Doug 'Chomp and Clack Alligator Push Toy' and the 'Home Depot - With Lights and Sounds Tool Bench'.

Thanksgiving with Grandparents Blanton, Lane and Bedow!

We started the Thanksgiving festivities the weekend before at Aunt Didi's house with the visit from the Dibblets! Brosnan had a little case of stranger-danger and was feeling a little shy! Simon worked HARD to earn his friendship and before long they were playing like old buds!
Grandma Gail and Brosnan read the book that the Maurers sent down for him.
I am not really sure what is happening here, but it sure looks like the two of them are singing a tune together!
Brosnan got to meet Ivory for the first time!
Brosnan LOVED playing horsey with Grandpa Rick! A big thanks to Grandma Rene for her assistance! We saw what happened earlier in the weekend when Brosnan tried to swing on the big boy swing! We still have some work to do to learn how to hold on!

Will and Brosnan!

It was so much fun to watch the boys explore the house! Its hard to believe that a year ago the Helms, Russells and Blantons were sitting in birthing classes learning about the horrors :) of childbirth and now our infants have turned into toddlers!
Will and Brosnan are the same size!
They both love Cheerios and Will tried (and loved!) Goldfish crackers for the first time!

They took a tour of the house in their finest 'zombie-walking' style!

When Mommy said that it was time to leave, Will said, "Talk to the hand!"
(not really, he is a very good boy - but that was a fun caption to write!!)

Reading Nursery Rhymes!

Brosnan is reading the nursery rhyme book from which Gummaw Sitty and Grandpaw Lane used to read to Mommy, Aunt Kimmie and Aunt Manada!
Our favorite poem went a little something like this...
The Goops they lick their fingers,
And the Goops they lick their knives;
They spill their broth on the tablecloth-
Oh, they lead disgusting lives!
The Goods they talk while eating,
And loud and fast they chew;
And that is why I'm glad that I
Am not a Goop - are you?

What a great weekend!!

Brosnan's first Halloween he spent as....what else....a tiger!!! He seemed to like the costume, although it is a bit hot in Jacksonville in October for fur!

Grandma and Popcorn Blanton came to town on Friday and went trick or treating with us at Merrill. Then Aunt Didi came over for dinner and playtime.

On Saturday we went to the Koelbel's house to watch the Florida/Georgia game. Then we went trick or treating! Brosnan was such a good sport, considering he didn't collect any candy! There was so much to observe - he had a great time! He has several teeth coming is, so his new favorite pose is tounge-out, massaging his gums!

Brosnan wore shoes for the first time to church on Sunday. He did pretty well, although it is a bit hard to stand up when he is wearing them!

On Sunday we watched some football. Jacksonville didn't bring home a win, but Brosnan sure did bring Jones-Drew some good luck by wearing his jersey! Brosnan and Daddy fed the geese and we had a nice cook-out in the back yard.
How cute is this......
Throughout the weekend, Brosnan has gained more confidence and has been walking some on his own now!
