Proud Mommy!

Let me just take a moment to gush and tell everyone how proud I am of our little guy! He had his first round of vaccinations this morning. He was so brave! He only cried for a minute and by the time we got home he was all smiles again!

Then we went for a walk on the beach with Mac and Erin. Mac and Brosnan are two days apart and they are currently the same height, have the same head diameter and there is only 2.5 ounces difference in their weight - they are little twins!

Brosnan's two month stats:

Height - 23.5" (75th percentile)

Weight - 12 lbs 6 ozs (70th percentile)

Head diameter - 40" (50th percentile)

Brosnan got his first opportunity to try out the sling that Grandma Blanton made for him and he LOVED it!

Week 9

Brosnan LOVES this Baby Einstein toy! There is a star that plays music and changes color. In this picture he is making cooing noises at the star. He stares intensely at the star and the other dangles. He hasn't quite realized that he can direct his hands to the objects on purpose!

Tomorrow we have Brosnan's 2 month appointment. He will get his first round of shots! Hope he can forgive us (or at least forget :)

Brosnan's Baptism

Brosnan was Baptized by Monsignor Haut at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church on February 8, 2009. There was a big turn-out of family there! Judy even came from Mt. Vernon, WA!

The first time the boys got together, they were not aware of each other. This time Mac is checking out Brosnan telling mommy that he needs a nap!

Week 7

Although these pictures seem anti-climactic prior to the weekend ahead, I wanted to keep everyone in the loop on what the little guy has been up to! Don't be fooled by the sunlight - it was COLD AND WINDY here this week and we had some serious cabin fever. On Friday it was warm(er) and we finally got to take a walk at the beach! Everyone living north of Florida is probably rolling their eyes right now :)

On Friday we went out to eat Mexican with the Bicklers and Brosnan finally got to meet Mya!

Week 6

Things Mom loves about Brosnan....

• When he wakes up he stretches by arching his back and turning his head to the side. He looks so silly and cute!
• He really loves watching the stuffed Tigers on his Clemson mobile!
• Kum ba yah seems to be his favorite song.
• He is beginning to smile in reaction to things that we do and make cooing noises.
• His skills in burping and tooting make a momma proud :)
• Sometimes he sleeps with his arms above his head and legs out to the side and bent like a little bug, stuck on his back!
• Everyone that meets him says that he looks just like his Dad.
• Even over the phone, the sound of Kim singing Brosnan's song him sooths him.
• He held his head up with his arms extended for about 30 seconds today - what a strong little man!

Brosnan - week 5

This week Brosnan has been lifting his head for long periods of time and looking around at the world. Should such a little thing be so exciting for his parents? We are settling into a routine and gaining a better understanding what sooths the little guy; softly singing, taking rides in the stroller and car, gently bouncing, sucking on a pacifier and being swaddled. Much to our delight, we even think he gave his Daddy a smile the other night that was not induced by gas! Now that he has lost his belly button and the circumcision has healed, Brosnan is enjoying bath time submerged in the water.

We took our first trip to the beach on Wednesday. Look how excited he was!
